POSITION SUMMARY
Our Solutions Engineer serves as the technical expert within a sales team, working closely with clients to understand their needs and demonstrate how a company's products or services can solve their challenges. This role is a hybrid of technical and sales responsibilities, requiring in-depth product knowledge and strong communication skills.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and understand client needs and business objectives.
- Develop and present tailored product demonstrations, proof of concepts, and technical presentations to prospective clients.
- Ask questions and listen so you can produce an accurate picture of customer requirements and propose customized solutions using the company's products and services.
- Serve as the primary technical resource during customer interactions, answering product-related questions and addressing technical concerns.
- Design product trials or pilots, help to ensure smooth implementation and technical validation for customers.
- Work closely with product management and engineering teams to provide customer feedback and suggest product improvements.
- Provide post-sale technical support and ensure successful product deployment and integration.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the company’s products, industry trends, and competitive landscape to offer the best technical solutions.
- Create technical documentation, including proposals, solution designs, and customer-specific configurations.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and webinars to stay updated on the latest technology trends.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or;
- 5 Years of experience working in this role at an MSP accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing, SaaS, networking, or software development concepts.
- Ability to simplify complex technical solutions and communicate them effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Hands-on experience with technical platforms or software solutions (Windows Server, Windows Desktop, Mac OS, Microsoft Products & Azure, Backup and disaster recovery, ConnectWise platforms, product sourcing sites, Auvik).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively to address customer needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and events.
- Experience with CRM or sales enablement tools such as ConnectWise.
- Experience with scripting, process development, and system integrations.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing role, particularly in a sales or technical consulting environment.
- Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Cisco, Microsoft platforms and products, VMWare).
- Sit Frequently at a desk
- Frequent fine hand and finger movements (keyboard, writing, mouse movement)
- Continual close visual acuity for reading
- Hearing and speaking for communication within and outside of company.
- May be required to lift/push/pull up to 10 pounds for set up/movement of office equipment,
